During my time at university, I have partaken in a range of placement opportunities to develop my journalistic skills and to gain experience in the media industry.

 

My experience involved writing articles for different online and print organisations, as well as managing social media platforms and learning transferable skills. Under the 'Experience' subsections, I have highlighted examples of my freelance work to showcase my skills and ability to create content about a range of topics to suit different audiences.

 

Also, I have created an online news platform called 'INSYNC-MK,' which I developed for my final year project. I gained inspiration to do this when working at Style Birmingham. I felt this platform was young and modern, targeting students and young adults in Birmingham. Growing up in Milton Keynes, I realised this was a missing platform for our younger generation, and I wanted to provide this platform to our youth to keep them 'in sync' with the latest news, events and talent in the area.
